  Bika
Tsaava

Oleg "Bika" Tsaava was born in 1965 into a family of well known artists in Tbilisi, Georgia, U.S.S.R. His love for painting, evident and inherited, Bika attended Teachers Training College in Tbilisi where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Drawing and Painting in 1987.

In 1991, he made an emotionally wrenching move to the United States, seeking freedom of spirit and soul, the promise of the future and the release of the past.

As his interests are broad and his talents diverse, Bika has been involved in a variety of different art forms, including clay work at the Factory of Ceramic Artifice and holding the position of Head Designer with the large publicity firm of Sakuachrobreklama in the old U.S.S.R.

In Bika's words, "I enjoy different levels of creating - including sculpting, etching and design. However, even as I am creating - my passion lies in painting. I yearn to raise a field or lake from the canvas with so much dimension and texture that the viewer would actually want to reach out and touch it."

Bika's works are displayed by many private and corporate collectors in the old U.S.S.R. as well as the U.S.A.
